Post Holidays, Into a New Year!

Happy New Year! Hard to believe 2015 is already started. I have been pretty busy these last few months, preparing for a show starting in Feb. This is the Mono Lake Gallery at Lee Vining, CA. My work will hang until August 2015.

I decided to make this set of works mixed media, and add layer, texture to my bird portraits. It was fun and interesting, to try.

More results of the technique…

My dog Sydney has really been on my mind the latter part of December. She and I go WAY back, she is 19 years old. She was having some very bad days and I thought that her time had come to leave us. But the vet recommended I put her on a "bland diet" and she has perked right back up! She still has some bad days and just ok days, but her personality still shines through.
I had been studying my book on Franz Marc and decided to start a painting of her, inspired by Franz Marc's works. I am not finished, but here is what that is shaping up to look like…

I have received the works from Tohono Chul, so be sure and check out my Etsy Shop and view those now available works!

My husband and I are off to Mexico with a small group. Until we meet again, Happy New Year!
